If you open Control panel I think it should be in there, then there is a Paradox object in one of the groups. We've gotten to the point my boss just tells them it's too old and they need to convert it to MS Access or something still supported.

I've torn through the thing a few times and just can't get it to work on Windows 7 bit. We have a stubborn department that has a database in the last version of Paradox. My hands are tied because he's using the laptop with the same program that he said is "barfing" but won't specify how or send me a screenshot of whatever is happening or let me look at it because he's too busy. If you have a working VM already, just make a copy of it and set it up on your boss's machine.

I do have it on an XP virtual machine actually and we have an SOP listing out the process on how to install the program and I followed it to the letter and got that error. That is a little out of my range of knowledge though. That really is going to depend on the type of DB it used and if the data can be extracted. It's a bad situation to be in when trying to use software that no longer has support or even maintenance. I've never worked with Paradox or WordPerfect before and right now it's looking very hopeless You could try compatibility mode, but that may not even help. No one else uses this program, everyone else uses Visual Manufacturing.

I'm at my whit's end because this is a very old program and I haven't found a solution anywhere and so far everyone I've asked who knows about it is too busy or telling me that it's my job and I need to fix it.
